ASUS M4A785D-M Pro Motherboard

Back in November of last year I reviewed the Gigabyte GA-MA785GM-US2H motherboard and was relatively impressed. The ASUS M4A785D-M Pro is another one of these micro-ATX boards offering the AMD 785G chipset. It comes in at around the same price give or take a fiver, so it’s a direct competitor of the Gigabyte model.

Review: AMD Athlon II X3 425 CPU

AMD Athlon II X3 425 CPU

Intel may hold the performance crown when it comes to high end processors, but that’s not to say that the AMD range should be forgotten. AMD actually have some very well priced CPUs, especially at the lower price points. From around £55 online in the UK this X3 is the lowest priced triple core CPU available.

Logitech M-305 Nano

Some say that size doesn’t matter but sometimes small is everything. Just to clarify here and to bring some people’s minds back on track, I am taking about mice here. And this review is of the tiny little Logitech Nano M305 mouse in particular.

Review: Razer Salmosa Lightweight USB Gaming Mouse

Posted by admin On February - 3 - 2010

Razer Salmosa Gaming Mouse

If you’re anything like me then you probably have a fairly decent general purpose desktop mouse. Used for average PC and office style tasks and a bit of gaming. However, when the gaming gets serious there are times when an 800 dpi wireless desktop mouse doesn’t quite cut the mustard. Well here we have a cheap, high performance mouse from Razer, the Salmosa.

Review: Sony Ericsson MBR-100 Bluetooth Music Receiver

Sony Ericsson MBR-100 Bluetooth Music Receiver

Small sleek and very unassuming, this little bluetooth gadget from Sony does it’s job perfectly with very little fuss. And strangely enough for a Sony product, it’s really not that expensive either.

Galaxy Blue Bubble LED case

PC cases are very much a matter of personal taste and it is often the styling as much as the function that sells the product. This is especially true for a case like the one reviewed here, which has blue LED lighting on the front bezel and a styled clear perspex side window. However, even if you like the styling it’s nice to know whether or not it’s functionally decent too.

Be Quiet Power Supply Fan

If you’re building a cheap low end PC for yourself, family or friends then you’ll want a decent power supply that won’t fail, is power efficient but won’t cost almost as much as the rest of the build. The Be Quiet Supply reviewed here may well fit that niche.

Review: Gigabyte GA-MA785GM-US2H Motherboard

Gigabyte GA-MA785GM-US2H

Is this Gigabyte motherboard the best mid-priced µATX board supporting the AMD 785 chipset? With integrated class leading AMD HD4200 graphics, Firewire, eSATA and RAID 0,1 and 5 could this be the board to buy for an ultimate budget setup? Hopefully I can let you know by the end of the review.

Failure: Sitecom WL-308 Gaming Router

Posted by admin On September - 9 - 2009

Sitecom WL-308 Router

One thing that you don’t tend to hear about on the big commercial review sites is what happens with a product in the medium to long term. That’s one thing that a small independent site like this can bring to you all. Unfortunately I have to report one such failure today as my Sitecom WL-308 router failed yesterday after 10 months of reliable operation.
