I have exactly the same adapter and I copied WinXP from a IDE HDD to the SD with the help of Paragon Hard Disk Manager.

It's extremely slow. And by slow I mean, it takes approximately 30 minutes to boot WinXP.

Hi, just want to say brilliant instructions! I spent a lot of time viewing youtube videos, and none of the ones I found explained how to get to the hard drive like you did. Really well written, and no pictures, no videos. Thank you for creating this page. Will bookmark. Cheers!

I own the Gigabyte 4850oc version also, and Have used it as my only video card since late 2009. I used rivatune and pushed it up to 783mhz core stable and the memory to 1053 also stable, with the stock heatsink cooler. I have had it run at 800mhz core but the memory had to be set around 1033 max to be stable. As soon as I tried going over 800mhz core speed it would crash.
I love this card!

I bought this case in 2009 for my first home build and it's still going strong, PSU included. As well as the side fan I added a 8cm intake to the front and a 12cm exhaust fan to the back, and with just a stock intel cooler on the cpu I've no issues with cooling at all - CPU running at 27C idle. My GPU has it's own fan. Re: the intake vents at the front, there is actually a hole at the bottom of the bezel, albeit it opens onto the bottom of the circuit board for the USBs. Seems to have plenty of airflow through there for my fan though. The little flap did break eventually, which probably helped the fan also.

When the case fans are optimised the PSU is the noisiest thing in the case, so it is worth thinking about a quieter one if that's an issue (I didn't bother). The blue LED fan only has molex connectors instead of 3 or 4 pin, so no option for controlling it's speed, however it's a quiet fan anyway.

To remove the screen of a Toshiba NB100 there are 2 small rubber pads in the top corners, remove these and there are screws underneath. You should then be able to carefully prize the edges apart. Start at the corners. Hope this helps someone out there. Peace.

A very clear set of instructions for disassembly and many thanks! Do you know if the USB ports/sockets are a standard pcb type? I've got a broken pin connector on one of them and although I can use a USB2 hub to get around it, I'd like to replace the broken one in the future.

Many thanks again
