Review: Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 CPU – E0 stepping

All the talk in CPUs at the moment is of Intel’s Core i7 and i5 ranges. But in terms of upgrades the older Core2Quads should not be overlooked. Upgrading from an older Core2Duo to a newer 45nm Quad can bring a huge performance increase.

Review: 1GB XFX 4870 Graphics Card (HD-487A-ZDFC)

The ATI 4800 series graphics cards have proven very popular and so has my review of the Gigabyte 4850 OC from back in Nov08. Here I’m reviewing one of the bigger brothers of the 4850. This 4870 is one of the first ATI offerings from the well respected XFX board partner.

Fake 32GB SDHC Card

Memory cards are much much cheaper if bought directly from china on ebay. A 32GB SDHC card can be bought for around £20-£30 rather than the typical £80 from a retail outlet in the UK like ebuyer. Even more on the high street if you can find them at all. Problem is, some of them are fakes.
