1066Mhz DDR3 modules running at 1445Mhz memtest stable

Well as you can tell from the title of this post, those OCZ Gold memory sticks will run happily and fully memtest stable at 1445Mhz. What is even more amazing in my opinion is that it only required a lossing of the timings to 7,7,7,20 which is not far of the standard timings. I gave them a go at 6,6,6,15 just in case they were even more impressive than I first thought but the PC wouldn’t POST at those memory settings.

This is all with the voltage raised to 1.8V which is still within the lifetime warranty limits set by OCZ. While DDR3 memory costs remain so high I’m planning on retaining the warranty and so won’t be pushing that voltage any further.

This memory overclock is the highest I can go without lowering the CPU multiplier, so for the moment that’s where it will stay but I’ll probably see if they have any more in them later.
