I upgraded my main PC a few weeks ago, fitting an ASUS P5E3 Deluxe motherboard, an Intel E2160 processor and some 1066DDR3 OCZ Gold RAM. After setting up Windows Vista and confirming that it was all working well the next natural step was to see how this beast would clock – just how far can I push it?
Well the answer to that question is as of yet unknown because I’m still in the middle of finding out but I can certainly tell you that 3.0Ghz is acheivable while leaving the CPU voltage seting on ‘AUTO’. Just by increasing the FSB to 333Mhz I’ve been able to see this 63% increase in CPU clock speed and with the RAM divider left at 2:1 the OCZ sticks have managed 1333Mhz at the default timings of 6,6,6.

Full reviews of all of these components will appear on this site shortly – keep visiting a feel free to comment.
