Mods-n-Clocks is written by Matthew Smith, also known on-line as EnglishLion (commonly on Battlefield: Bad Company 2). The site began as somewhere to record my overclocking and modding thoughts and experiences. However as it developed it has branched out to providing hardware reviews, product release news and general articles on computers.

The site is aimed at computer enthusiasts and as such many of the topics are quite technical in nature. I don’t intend on the site becoming a technical support site, but if you need help on anything that I cover feel free to post a comment on the relevent page and I’ll see if I can help out.

My hardware reviews are the most popular pages and as you’ll see by some of the comments, they have actively contributed in helping people make their buying decisions. Again, feel free to leave a comment if you read a review and believe that I’ve missed something out or even if you’d just like to see an additional picture from another angle.

The site is powered by wordpress to enable me to spend my time adding to the content rather than spending all my time coding. I have also set up a group on facebook under the mods-n-clocks name. The facebook group can be used for discussing the site in general and I often put additional pictures up there. Sometimes the Facebook group will also be told about work in progress articles.

It you are a computer component or peripheral supplier and you wish to have your products reviewed here on mods-n-clocks then feel free to contact me by leaving a comment on this page (it wont be posted onto the site but it will get read) or contact me by email at .

Likewise, if you think advertising on mods-n-clocks will benefit your brand then please let me know as advertising slots can be arranged. Please note that over this last year mods-n-clocks has seen month on month increases on page views and visitors having reached 200+ countries.

Matthew Smith: Writer, Editor and Site Designer

I have no academic qualifications in computers, web design, writing or publishing. In fact my qualifications are all science based. My input into this website is entirely done in my spare time and I also have a full time job at Anachem Instruments. My full time job is in the supply of automated instruments to laboratories throughout the UK and Ireland. I personally provide sales support by setting up and performing product demonstrations, testing and developing new products and techniques, providing training and just about anything else as and when called upon.

The website and my PC related interests do take up a lot of my spare time but I also find time for other activities including squash, badminton, gardening and supporting my football team(s). I put the ‘s’ after team as I have one team that I support (Spurs) but several others that I look out for (Peterborough Utd, Lincoln City to name a couple).
