Mods & Clocks publishes practical reading about household clocks, simple decorative projects, vintage buying questions and watch accessories.
What you will find here
The notebook starts with everyday decisions: reading a dial from across a room, checking the dimensions of a part, or choosing a place for a clock on a shelf. Articles describe useful checks and the limits of a home task. They do not stand in for a model's instructions or an examination by a repairer.
Working with older objects
A fragile finish, unknown luminous paint, electrical parts or a wound mechanical movement needs a different level of care from a modern clock case. We identify those boundaries where they matter. We do not offer repairs, valuations or product certification through this website.
Pictures and corrections
Images illustrate the subject; they are not evidence of hands-on testing. Some specific scenes use generated illustrations. If a detail needs correcting, send the article link and your explanation to contact@mods-n-clocks.co.uk.
